The Henley Cup 2018
: This year's edition of The Henley Cup was run in near-perfect conditions. A gentle easterly breeze was all we had to contend with. Nonetheless, there was a variety of results due to a number of factors, some human and some not. This year' s winner by a healthy margin was Reel Good, skippered by Doug Kentish ably assisted by Heather Kentish as navigator. Congratulations and thanks to all who participated.
Henley Cup 2017
: In near perfect conditions, the 2017 Henley Cup was run on Sunday 29th January. Seven boats started, with one withdrawing mid-event due to mechanical issues. The winning entrant this year was MMYC boat Trophy, skippered by Barry Matulick. Second was Cool Running skippered by Trevor Coon and third place went to Reel Good with Doug Kentish at the helm, Many thanks to all who participated. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Henley Cup 2016
: We were thrilled to see five members' boats on the water for this year's Henley Cup. A stiffening northerly breeze made for lumpy conditions, especially when motoring with the waves abeam. With very little experience, all participants performed admirably. Congratulations to Kathryn and Trevor, who took out the honours this year on Cool Running. Doug & Michael came second on Reel Good, and Helen and Michael came a solid third on Lola. Hopefully there will be further events held throughout the year.
Henley Cup 2015
: A seemingly calm bay awaited our small fleet of entrants as they ventured out on the morning of Saturday 21st March. A stiffening southerly breeze made for lumpy conditions during legs 2 & 4. Congratulations to Kathryn & Trevor on Cool Running, who came in first place, with the combined crews of Splash'n'Out & 38 South (Kevin, Paul & Frank) coming second on 38 South. And Helen & Michael, participating for the first time in Beez Neez, coming a respectable third.
The Henley Cup 2014
: It was great to see the return of The Henley Cup after several years' absence. Very pleasant conditions for boating were to be had on the day. Congratulations to Bob Battye and Alan Crighton on Eventide, who came first with a very respectable score of 18 points. Congratulations also to Bonito coming second with 39 points and Pookanah coming third with 52 points. Thanks to everyone else who participated, and helped to make it a terrific day for all concerned.
