RQ Frostbite Day 2 Race 3
: Moderated slightly to 8-12 knots. I could only see Glenn and Roger above me as I went hard for the pin. Then noticed Steve and Richard heading right. Richard says he missed the start (the tracking disputes this!) but with no heavy ninja stars he had his boat cranked and led at the top mark. Roger and I chasing Richard and somehow I found myself in same position as race2 and again lead changing several times down the run. At the gate Richard went left and smashed us to the top mark. Follow the leader!
RQ Frostbite Day 2 Race 2
: Breeze increased between races to what must have been close to 15knots at times. We all got away well and showed the lasers how to accelerate off the line. Richard leading at the 1st mark, think I was 2nd, Roger 3rd? From there till the finish I had tunnel vision and was ducking and weaving ninja stars being thrown at me by Richard, with the lead swapping consistently. At 4th mark I defended hard and rounded super tight and sailed as high as an Etchell and then freed the boat up to reach across
RQ Frostbite Day 2
: All got off the line well. Never easy with lasers hassling you. Roger smashed the 1st beat. All 5 boats bunched together by the 2nd mark made for tight mark rounding and great fleet racing practice. At mark 3 things got very exciting with similar carnage as what we used to watch on TV with the 18ft skiffs or NASCAR racing. Steve dropped his tiller but I kept his boat on coarse till he regained it. Steve pulled off a perfect bump and run, moving to 2nd. Roger got Steve and me on the run.
