: BMYS Commodores Cup Feb 28 2021 Great day for a Nav Rally
Wackett Trophy
: The Wackett Trophy was run on a pleasant morning with 11 boats completing the course. A run along the parkdale and mentone beaches was followed by a long north westerly leg. Boats then headed back towards Ricketts Point and returned to the finishing line at the club.
Wackett Trophy
: 2016-04-03: Beautiful calm seas & light wind made for perfect conditions to run a Nav Rally. A long standing event of over 50 years saw 11 competitors in the event. Great BBQ lunch & Presentation followed making for a wonderful day.
Commodores Cup
: This event was run over a 10.82 nautical mile course with the first boat starting at 9.30am. Competitors faced mostly choppy conditions and coolish breezes. It was pleasing to see some Club members testing their navigation skills for the first time as new entrants to the Club’s Nav Rally program. Results (skippers and navigators) included: 1st Place - John and Anita Giuliano. 2nd Place -John Emmins and Jack Emmins. 3rd Place - Alan Beazley and Brian Willis. An award for best performance
Wackett Trophy
: A very keen field competed in the Wackett Trophy. Some extremely low scoring completed a very successful Nav Rally 2015 season at BMYS. The day finished with a very enjoyable lunch and good fellowship in the clubhouse. Thanks to all the competitors and supporters who took part in this year's events.
Ricketts Point Regatta 2015
: A beautiful calm morning greeted the boats for the 2015 Ricketts Point Regatta. This is the premier navigation rally for the season and a good field headed to Ricketts Point and along the measured mile reef. The course returned with a run around Beaumaris Bay to finish in front of the club. BBQ lunch followed together with lots of stories about the event.
Commodores Cup 2015
: The BMYS Commodores Nav Rally was held on 29th March 2015 in ideal conditions on a still and sunny morning. Some excellent low scores were recorded with competitors taking advantage of the smooth conditions. Thanks to our visitors from Mordialloc and to all crews taking part. Boats headed off towards Parkdale beach and then down Beaumaris bay towards Mordialloc. After heading out into the bay the course tracked all the way to Sandringham returning closer in shore. This is the longest course run by BMYS
Ricketts Point Regatta 2014
: The Ricketts Point Regatta for 2014 was run on Sunday 1st of June. The event was won by Bmys identity Brian Willis in the face of strong opposition from a number of visiting boats. Great to see some new competitors run and really enjoy themselves. Also thanks to visitors from Mordialloc and RVMYC. Well done to all members who assisted to make the event very successful.
Commodores Cup 2014
: The BMYS Commodores Nav Rally was held on Sunday the 30th March on a perfect morning. The field contained some very experienced starters and some boats new to Navigation Rallies. Scores were very good with the field making the best of the light winds. The rally was followed by a well deserved lunch. Thanks to the visitors from Patterson River and Mordialloc for being part of the event.
