Publishing Races to the Cloud

You can publish races online to the TackTracker Cloud, for viewing from the Web, any other TackTracker Player (PC or MAC) and the TackTracker App for iPhone and iPad.

Publishing is free, and a great way to share your racing with others.

You decide whether each race is published for public viewing, or restricted to a set of friends that you have nominated.

Races are published to your own TackTracker home page at tacktracker.com/cloud/home/username

To publish a race to your TackTracker Home Page, you need an account on the TackTracker Cloud.  If you don't have an account yet, create one at: tacktracker.com/cloud/auth/register.

Publishing a race to your home page is easy:

1.   Open the Race Editor and click the Publish button.

2.   A Wizard will appear, asking you to confirm the race name and other details.  Click Next a few times an you're done!

There are two checkboxes that may need explaining:

•     Check "Locked" to specify that no new tracks should be uploaded to this race by other people.  If unchecked, other people can add there tracks to your race after you have published it.

•     Check "Friends Only" to make your race visible only to yourself and people you have nominated as "Friends".  You can manage your Friends list from your home page at tacktracker.com/cloud/home or from the TackTracker iPhone App.

Note: the Locked and Friends Only settings can be changed from the web after publishing your race.

You may make changes and re-publish a race you have already published at any time.

Publishing to a Regatta

If you have a Club Regatta License, you may also publish races to a Regatta.  Regattas are published to tacktracker.com/cloud/regattas.  

To publish to a Regatta, you need to create a Regatta entry first, using the Regatta Publisher in the Cloud Races tab.  Then you can publish your races in the usual way.
