TackTracker Guide

This guide is for TackTracker for the PC and Mac, both which may be freely installed from tacktracker.com/web/download.  The screenshots are taken from the PC version, but the Mac version is very similar and works the same way.

Read a brief overview of TackTracker and what it can do

I want to:

Watch a race on the TackTracker Cloud

Play a race

• Using the Navigation Buttons and Panning / Zooming
• Understand the Legs Table

       Create and publish a race

• Create a new Race
• Use the Race Editor to edit a race
• Publish a Race to the TackTracker Cloud
• Setup and run a Race with Live Tracking
• Move a mark during playback
• Define fixed marks or Landmarks

I have a Logged Tracking License, and wish to:

• Use the Track Loader to import new tracks into TackTracker
• Share Tracks with the TackTracker Cloud
• Work with the Track Library
• Replay a race you saved previously
• Export a race to a TTZ file to share with a friend.
• Lock a race so new tracks don't get added to it.

I have a Race Reports Licence:

• Learn about race reports

I have a Club Regatta License:

• Learn about Club / Regatta Features:

• Unattended replay of several races
• Handicapping
• Multiple start times
• Publishing Regattas and Live race tools (postponements, restarts etc)
• Competitor Schedule
• Import wind data from an external source
• Import and display custom statistics alongside my track data

I have a Navigation Rally license:

• Learn now to run a Navigation Rally
• View Rally Results
• Define discretionary penalties
• Create a rally course for personal use
