August 2026: TackTracker Cloud Upgrade

The TackTracker Cloud has received a major upgrade, with a technology refresh and numerous enhancements. Most of the changes are under the covers and they're there to deliver better performance, scalability and reliability. There are many visible changes too:

Updated look and navigation

Although still familiar, you'll notice changes to the layout and navigation. All pages have had a rethink and refresh. We've made more space for the player, which is what you come here for.

The redesigned sidebar race menu now highlights the selected race, and can be collapsed to the side to make even more space for the player.

Web Player enhancements

The web player looks the same, but has had a thorough overhaul to improve memory use and reliability. On the phone, you can now use pinch guestures to pan and zoom, and on the mac, you can do the same on the trackpad. You can also now use the ruler on the phone.

Race Management enhancements

The on-water line used for reporting which boats are on the water and which are back on shore is now much more usable. Now you can draw an on-water-line composed of a series of connected line segments, allowing you to match the shape of any shore line. Gone are the criss-crossing infinite lines from the previous version.

Security

We've upgraded your account security with a complete rewrite of the authentication system. We've also introduced optional two-factor authentication for your account, using an Authenticator app. Go to your profile page to turn this on.

Due to the security changes, you won't be able to login with older versions of the PC player and you'll need to upgrade to version 5.0.1 or later. Get the PC player at TackTracker Downloads.
